At 53two, we are committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space for everyone involved — regardless of background, identity, or experience.

All participants have the right to work, create, and enjoy the competition in a safe and respectful environment.

This policy applies to all participants, including directors, writers, actors, crew, judges, volunteers, and audience members.

Treat everyone with dignity, kindness, and professionalism.

Listen actively and communicate considerately.

Value differing opinions, ideas, and backgrounds.

Zero Tolerance for Discrimination or Harassment

53two will not tolerate any form of:

- Bullying or intimidation

- Harassment (verbal, physical, sexual, or online)

- Discrimination on the basis of age, race, gender, gender identity, disability, religion, sexuality, or socio-economic background

 

Breaches may result in disqualification and removal from the event.

Respect Privacy and Consent

Always obtain consent before filming, recording, or photographing individuals.

Honour boundaries — personal, professional, and creative.

Act Professionally

Collaborate fairly within your team.

Honour the competition’s rules, time limits, and submission deadlines.

Respect all venues, equipment, and shared spaces.

Consequences of Misconduct

If a participant is found to have breached this code:

- They may be disqualified from the competition.

- They may be asked to leave the venue and not return.

- In serious cases, incidents may be reported to relevant authorities.

This policy is designed to protect the integrity of 53two and MAP48 and ensure it remains a creative, supportive and respectful space for all.
